Every tap writes to the phone instantly. The marker decides when to submit — after a hole, at the turn, or at the 19th. Nothing is auto-synced, so nothing gets accidentally overwritten.

  • Big-finger UI for the 4-ball
    One screen per hole, all four players, +/− steppers — 44 px touch targets per WCAG.
  • Submit shows what's pending
    "Submit 9 holes" with an amber badge. Tap to upload the batch. Fails are retryable, not destructive.
  • Partial scorecards welcome
    Holes 1–9 can sync at the turn; 10–18 at the end. Leaderboard shows "Thru 9" for that player.

HNA handicap engine

Every round's handicaps, calculated correctly. Audit included.

The base for each new round is that course's HNA Course Handicap — not the previous round's playing HC. Score over 34 cuts shots; under 24 adds shots. Recalculated this way for every round of a multi-day tournament, with every calculation persisted with full provenance.

  • Fresh HC base every round
    New round, new course → fresh HC base → that day's adjustment layered on top. Works the same on day 2, 3, or 5.
  • WHS Course Handicap built in
    round(Index × Slope/113 + (Rating − Par)). Stored per player per round.
  • Immutable audit trail
    Cosmos DB handicap_audit container records every shift, who confirmed it, and when.
  • Entry HC cap enforced
    Configurable cap applied at registration; post-round values can go higher. We mark the cap on the row.
